Drug-driving arrest after pedestrian seriously injured in Nelson

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, after a pedestrian was hit by a Fiat Panda car.
The man, in his 60s, suffered serious chest, leg and head injuries after he was struck on Netherfield Road, Nelson, on Saturday at about 21:30 GMT.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Police said.
The driver of the Fiat, a 44-year-old woman from Colne, is in custody. Police have asked for anyone with any information to contact them.
