A man has been charged with manslaughter after a brawl which ended in a 55-year-old football fan's death.

Tony Johnson died after suffering a head injury in the disturbance by a bar on Blackpool promenade after a Blackpool vs Burnley match in March last year.

Jake Balmforth, 34, from Burnley, has been charged over the death.

Nine other men charged have been charged with affray, police said.

Four of the men are from Blackpool, while the other five are from Burnley and Colne.

Mr Johnson was attacked outside The Manchester pub at about 19:00 and later died in hospital.

Lancashire Police said all 10 men had been bailed to appear before magistrates in Preston on 13 March.
