Laura Nuttall: Parents' joy as road named after bucket list campaigner

The family of cancer campaigner Laura Nuttall says it "means the absolute world" to have a road named after her in her home village.
Laura was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 19 and made headlines after ticking off a bucket list of ambitions before her death in May.
Her parents, Nicola and Mark, said it was "so special" to see Laura Nuttall Way in Barrowford, Lancashire.
They said the park next to the road was "one of Laura's haunts".
Ms Nuttall, who died aged 23, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, the most aggressive form of brain cancer, following a routine eye test in 2018.
She went on to work her way through her list of ambitions, including meeting Michelle Obama, commanding a Royal Navy ship and graduating from the University of Manchester.
Bolton comic Peter Kay made his comeback in 2021 after years away to raise money for her treatment.
Her parents visited the road to see the sign after it was officially put up on Friday.
Mrs Nuttall said her daughter "would love it, but also find it hilarious".
She told BBC North West Tonight: "We had family picnics here and she used to run up this road as well, so it's an area that's really special for us to be honest.
"She's got a bench in the park too, so it just feels really special to us."
"We still don't know who renamed the road," she continued. "Whoever did it, we are really grateful."
Mr Nuttall said: "This park was one of Laura's haunts.
"We have no idea who actually made this possible - there are some in the family who suspect it was Laura - she was very mischievous," he said.
