A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a man who died of multiple stab wounds, police have said.

Richard Chamberlain, 34, was found with several injuries at a property in New Market Street, Colne, on Sunday, Lancashire Police said.

He died a short time later.

Frank Wrona, 44, of New Market Street, Colne, was remanded in custody by Blackburn Magistrates' Court earlier and is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday.

Police said a post-mortem examination established the cause of Mr Chamberlain's death as multiple stab wounds.
