Leeds attic murder accused in court

A 23-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a 52-year-old woman who was found dead in the attic of a house near Leeds.

Police said the woman was found with gunshot wounds in the attic of the property on Alma Street, Woodlesford, on Monday.

Aaron Wilkinson, of Alma Street, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Friday.
