Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust appoints directors

A cash-strapped Yorkshire NHS trust has announced the appointment of three new directors to its board.
Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which covers Wakefield and the surrounding area, recently saw four non-executive directors leave.
David Stone, interim chairman of the trust, said the new "knowledge and experience" would be invaluable to tackle its problems.
The trust has to save £24m by April 2013 and is losing £100,000 a day.
Mr Stone said the trust would be appointing two more directors later this year.
The three new non-executive directors are Wakefield councillor Patricia Garbutt, Trevor Lake, a member of the West Yorkshire Police Authority, and Rosie Valerio, an employment consultant to the voluntary sector.
