Teenager dies after stabbing in Leeds

A murder investigation has begun after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Leeds, West Yorkshire Police have said.

The teenager was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after an incident on Back Seaforth Avenue, Harehills, at about 12:40 GMT.

He was confirmed dead a short time later, a police spokesman said.

The area around Back Seaforth Avenue and Foundry Approach has been cordoned off while inquires are carried out. The force have appealed for witnesses.
