A new city centre war memorial dedicated to military personnel who have died in action since World War II has been announced by Bradford Council.

The memorial will be placed behind the Cenotaph in the city's memorial garden along with a new path and seats.

It will list the names of 29 soldiers who have died on active service in places such has Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea and Northern Ireland.

Work is to start this month and should last seven weeks, the council said.
