Bradford Mela at new City Park venue

The city centre venue has been adopted because flooding cancelled the 2012 event
The Bradford Mela is underway at its new venue, City Park in the city centre, as part of a relaunched Bradford Festival.
The Asian event has relocated after heavy rainfall at last year's festival caused flooding and forced it to be cancelled.
The Mela was held at three different venues prior to its new home around the Victorian Grade I listed City Hall.
Opened in 2012, the park recently held BBC Three's Bollywood Carmen Live.
The new one-day event was expected to be on a smaller scale than those previously held in the city's bigger parks.
The event was first staged in 1988 on fields near Bradford University then it moved to Lister Park and later Peel Park.
