Sky's 300 new software jobs for Leeds
- Published
Sky, the broadcasting and telecommunications firm, is to create about 300 full-time jobs in its technical team to be based in Leeds.
The jobs for software developers, testers and engineers will be situated at an unconfirmed city centre site.
Leeds is the company's third biggest base, where it provides sports content for digital and social media sites.
Recruitment from entry level to senior managers has started. It hoped to have the positions filled by June, Sky said.
The broadcaster said it had links with universities in Leeds and Sheffield and would be employing some graduates in the new roles.
The company already employs other staff at a contact and support centre in Leeds.
