Sajid Saddique case: Daughter's appeal over missing father

A murder investigation into Sajid Saddique's disappearance was started in 2014

The teenage daughter of a businessman who went missing nine years ago says she is still "desperate" to find answers about his disappearance.

Rewards totalling £150,000 have been offered for information about what happened to Sajid Saddique, from Allerton, in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Neha Saddique, 15, was six years old when her father did not return from a meeting on Valentine's Day in 2007.

A murder investigation was started by West Yorkshire Police in 2014.

Two men were previously arrested on suspicion of his murder but released without charge after the Crown Prosecution Service ruled there was insufficient evidence against them.

Mr Saddique was last seen in the Asda car park in Manor Road, Shipley, at about 10:00 GMT on 14 February 2007.

Neha said: "We have never given up hope that we will find out the truth."

'Missing jigsaw piece'

She added: "My father was a kind man who loved his family dearly and there is no way that he would have just gone and left us.

"His loss hit us all very hard and we are desperate to find some answers as to why he suddenly disappeared."

A statement from Mr Saddique's brothers and sisters also pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.

His family and a local businessman have put up rewards for information leading to a conviction.

Det Supt Simon Atkinson, said: "No matter how small or insignificant this information may seem in isolation, it could be the missing piece of the jigsaw."
