Flames have engulfed a mill building near Huddersfield after a fire broke out.

About 40 firefighters were at the blaze at the Britannia Mills Trading Estate in Britannia Road, Milnsbridge.

West Yorkshire Fire Service said it received a call at about 12:25 GMT. Crews have used water from the nearby canal to tackle the fire, it said.

It comes after the four-storey Drummonds Mill in Lumb Lane, Bradford was destroyed by fire in January.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Firefighters remain at the scene and Britannia Road is closed.
