A cyclist has died in a crash that closed a major route into Leeds city centre.
The A65 Kirkstall Road was shut between Milford Place and Bamburgh Street at Cardigan Fields in the Burley area. It reopened at about 12:30 GMT.
A VW Golf crashed into shops and a 33-year-old male cyclist died at the scene, West Yorkshire Police said.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police said the car was travelling towards the city centre when it overturned and crashed into a parade of shops, causing significant damage to two premises on Kirkstall Road at about 23:30 on Monday.
The closure caused delays on several routes around Leeds
Two men in another vehicle, aged 23 and 36, from Leeds, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have since been released on police bail.
Det Ch Insp Stuart Spencer said it was "a very serious incident".
Traffic in the area was at a standstill due to the closure of Kirkstall Road
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
The road closure caused long delays on streets around Kirkstall Road as traffic tried to find alternative routes.
