Huddersfield man charged with terror offences

A man has been charged with three offences under the Terrorism Act.

The 24-year-old from Huddersfield was arrested on 1 June following an investigation by the North East Counter Terrorism Unit.

He is charged with engaging in the preparation of an act of terrorism and possessing a record of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
