Ilkley burglary: Man, 71, remains in hospital after attack

A 71-year-old man who was hit over the head in an aggravated burglary remains in hospital, as police renew an appeal for witnesses.
The man was at his home in a flat in Brook Street, Ilkley, West Yorkshire, when a man entered and attacked him, stealing his car keys and his BMW X5.
The car was later found in Silver Royd Close in Wortley, Leeds.
Officers thanked the public after two potential witnesses to the attack, who were seen on CCTV, were traced.
Police had released CCTV of the people captured on camera at Burley-in-Wharfedale railway station on the evening of the attack.
The suspect has been described as a white man, slim and about 6ft tall with mousey brown hair.
The attack took place at about 20:00 GMT on 29 November.
Det Insp Suzanne Hall of Bradford CID said: "We are continuing to carry out extensive inquiries following this horrific incident that has left a man in hospital.
"We are still appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of the victim's address around the time of the incident, particularly anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage covering The Grove, Brook Street, and along the A65 and A660 towards Leeds between 6pm and 8.30pm on November 29 to please come forward.
"If you also saw the victim's vehicle, a red BMW X5, being left or at any point between the burglary and where it was recovered in Silver Royd Close in Wortley, Leeds, please do let us know."
