A1(M) crash: Man dies as car overturns near Castleford

A man has died in a crash on the A1(M) after his car overturned near junction 41 for Castleford, police have said.
Officers were called at about 07:20 BST following reports of a vehicle with "major collision damage" on the hard shoulder of the northbound carriageway.
West Yorkshire Police said the 55-year-old driver of the vehicle - a white Peugeot 3008 - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The northbound carriageway remained closed until about 13:05.
The force has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
