Drug-driving arrest after man fatally struck by bus in Sowerby Bridge

A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a pedestrian was hit and killed.
The 25-year-old was struck as he walked along Burnley Road in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, at about 17:00 BST on Friday, police said.
He died at the scene and the driver, who has since been released under investigation, was held on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit for drugs.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
Anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident is also being urged to get in touch.
