Eleven-year-old Tobias Weller, from Sheffield, became the youngest ever New Year Honours recipient at the start of 2022 when he was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to charitable fundraising

Farmer Robert Tomlinson harvests forced rhubarb on his farm in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, in January. The farm falls within the so-called 'Rhubarb Triangle', the area between Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford

Heavy rain in February led to flooding in York as the River Ouse overtopped its banks

More than 100 firefighters tackled a blaze at Dalton Mills in Keighley, in March. It had been used as a film location for hit shows such as Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey
