Halifax stabbings: Man in court accused of street murders

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murders of two men after a triple stabbing in Halifax.
Officers were called to Commercial Street in the early hours of Sunday after reports three men had been assaulted, West Yorkshire Police said.
Joshua Clark, 21, died shortly afterwards in hospital and Haidar Shah, 19, died on Sunday evening. A third man had non life-threatening injuries.
At Bradford Crown Court, Rashane Douglas was remanded into custody.
Mr Douglas, of Jade Place, Huddersfield, appeared via video link during the 10-minute hearing and only spoke to confirm his name.
He is also charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The hearing heard the "primary evidence" in the case would be CCTV footage.
No pleas were entered, with the next hearing at the city's crown court set for 2 November.
An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been freed on bail.
