Leeds: Queens Hotel to host giant gingerbread projection

A Leeds city centre hotel is set to host a festive projection promising to turn it into a giant gingerbread house.
The installation, called Magical Night at The Queens, will take place from 15-23 December in City Square.
The Queens Hotel frontage is used for projections during October's annual Light Night, but this is the first time it will feature a Christmas attraction.
Calendar Girls and Bridget Jones actor Celia Imrie will narrate the story.
The projection is a collaboration between LeedsBID and the Barcelona-based creative studio Onionlab.
Imrie, who was recently made CBE in the King's Birthday Honours list, said: "Hats off to The Queens Hotel - I have very happy memories of staying there during the filming of The Darling Buds of May."
"I am delighted to be revisiting this entirely unique hotel and the wonderful city it's in."
The 10-minute story, created using projection mapping to re-imagine the hotel façade, will be played every 30 minutes between 16:30-20:30 GMT.
Andrew Cooper, LeedsBID chief executive, said: "Christmas is a key trading period but also a time for community, so over these nine nights we hope to bring some festive cheer to all."
