A1(M) delays after rush-hour crash closes motorway

The A1(M) is closed between J42 and J41
Motorists faced long delays on the A1(M) on Friday evening after the motorway was closed due to a road traffic collision.
The route was shut at about 17:15 GMT on Friday between junctions 42 for the A63 to Selby and 41 for the M62 near Knottingley.
National Highways confirmed West Yorkshire Police were in attendance and local diversions were in place.
West Yorkshire Police have been contacted for comment.
