Leeds cyclist suffers serious injuries in collision

A car being driven away from the city centre collided with an e-cycle travelling in the opposite direction
A cyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Leeds, police said.
The collision happened at 21:25 GMT on Thursday on Meanwood Road, close to the junction with Buslingthorpe Lane.
A Seat Altea travelling from the city centre collided with the electric-powered pedal bike which was heading in the opposite direction.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.
The force has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
