Leeds: Woman dies in house fire in Bramhope
- Published
A woman has died following a house fire in a village near Leeds.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a property on Old Lane, Bramhope, just after 22:00 GMT on Thursday.
West Yorkshire Police said a woman was rescued from the house, but died at the scene a short time later.
An initial investigation into the blaze had not discovered anything suspicious, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) said.
Fire crews from Cookridge, Otley and Rawdon used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and positive pressure ventilation fans to put the blaze out, WYFRS added.
