An 80-year-old grandfather who died after he was hit by a car in Wakefield has been named by police.
John Nottingham, from Lupset, died in hospital on Saturday after he was hit while crossing the road last Friday.
Mr Nottingham was crossing Dewsbury Road at the junction with Waterton Road at around 13:50 GMT when he was hit by a blue Vauxhall Astra, police said.
His family said he was a "much-loved" husband, father and grandfather. Police have appealed for witnesses.
West Yorkshire Police said the driver of a white Vauxhall Corsa, which stopped at traffic lights close to the scene, may be able to help with the investigation.
People who stopped to give first aid to Mr Nottingham until emergency services arrived may also be able to help, police said.
Det Sgt Adam Firth said: "We are conducting a number of investigations into the collision which very sadly resulted in John's death, and specially trained officers have been working to support his family."
