A man accused of murdering a woman in Leeds and then hiding her body will go in trial in September.
The body of 32-year-old Theresa Jordan was found in bushes near an Asda store in the Harehills area on 23 June 2022, 12 days after she went missing.
Mark Metcalfe, 39, has been charged with murder and preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.
He appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday and was told his trial would begin on 2 September.
Judge Tom Bayliss said he expected the trial would last up to three weeks.
Appearing via video link from prison, Mr Metcalfe spoke only to confirm his name at the short hearing and was remanded in custody.
No formal plea was entered, but defence barrister Mark McKone KC said his client, of Ashton Mount in Leeds, intended to enter a not guilty plea to both charges.
A pre-trial preparation hearing was set for 12 April.
