Detectives are appealing for information after hammer-wielding robbers ram-raided a jewellery store.
The robbers crashed a Toyota RAV4 into Mirpur Jewellers in Harehills Road, Leeds, at about 18:30 BST on Thursday.
The car used in the attack was abandoned at the scene, with offenders taking off in a dark-coloured Audi and various stolen items.
No-one was injured, police said, and the suspects remained at large.
According to the force, the gang entered the shop armed with hammers and smashed display cabinets before fleeing the scene.
Police are still assessing which items were stolen during the robbery as well as their value.
Armed officers, who had been deployed to the scene were unable to locate the offenders, a force spokesperson said.
Patrols in the area would be stepped up in the area to reassure the community.
A member of the owner's family told the BBC on Thursday that much of the stock had been packed away at the time of the raid, but "the whole shop front is damaged".
