Leeds: Man appears in court over spate of burglaries

A man has appeared in court charged with a series of garage and shed burglaries in Leeds.
The 32-year-old is accused of four burglaries and three attempted burglaries, as well as the attempted theft of a motor vehicle.
The charges relate to incidents in the Kippax area of the city on Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday.
The suspect, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody after appearing at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday.
He was also charged with assaulting an emergency worker and failing to provide a sample for a drugs test.
The alleged incidents took place at addresses in Hollins Beck Close, Cromwell Rise, Hall Park Orchards and Brigshaw Lane, West Yorkshire Police said.
