Dewsbury: First baby born at newly reopened Bronte Birth Centre

The first baby has been born at the newly reopened Bronte Birth Centre in Dewsbury.
Baby Olivia was born to parents Blanka and Damian last weekend, the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust announced.
The facility reopened to the public on 1 April, having been shut for almost two years.
The Trust's chief nursing officer, Talib Yaseen, said it had been "a joy to see the facility in action just days after opening its doors".
Mother-of-four Blanka said Olivia was her third birth at the centre.
"It's a lovely, calm atmosphere and feels like home," she said.
"I hate hospitals but at the birth centre I had the time and space to listen to my body and take it at my own pace."
The midwifery unit is located in the grounds of Dewsbury and District Hospital and offers a "calming and relaxing home from home experience" for mothers giving birth, the Trust said.
It was closed in May 2022 after staffing levels fell below those necessary to provide a safe level of care.
