Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with Mrs O'Leary's death
An inquest has been opened into the death of a man found dead alongside his wife at their home in Leeds.
Dennis O'Leary, 61, was found on a bed with his wife Karen O'Leary, 63, by police at the property on Fearnville Close, Oakwood, on 25 April.
The hearing, in Wakefield, was told the bed had been damaged by a fire.
Coroner Kevin McLoughlin said a provisional report from a pathologist had indicated further tests were needed to establish a cause of death.
The coroner said Mr O'Leary's cause of death "was clearly not a natural one" and adjourned the inquest to a further date.
Earlier this week, an inquest into the death of Mrs O'Leary heard that she had died from multiple stab wounds.
West Yorkshire Police have previously said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
