A £5,000 reward has been offered in an attempt to find the person who set fire to a man in a Leicester pub.

The attack happened at about 00:40 BST on 25 October at the Rainbow and Dove pub in Charles Street.

Russell Banks, 21, is in a stable condition at Nottingham City Hospital after being treated for serious burn injuries.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to talk to, who ran from the scene with his jacket on fire.

Another man, Robert Laszewsk, 20, was also injured in the attack and has since been discharged from hospital.

'Our little boy'

Detective Inspector Simon Preston said: "We hope the £5,000 reward will encourage people to come forward with information which could assist with the investigation.

"This was a serious offence which will no doubt leave a lasting effect on both victims and it is vitally important that we find the person responsible."

Mr Banks's father Harry Banks said: "My children are my life and someone has taken a piece of that away, things will never be the same again."

Mr Banks's mother Jayne added: "We love our little boy, we'll be strong for him."
