Mark Cookson death in Wigston prompts murder inquiry

A murder investigation has been launched after a body was discovered at a house in Leicestershire.

Mark Cookson, 42, was found dead in the property in Leicester Road, Wigston, on Wednesday evening.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of a head injury but police have yet to established if it was caused by a fall or if a someone else was involved.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with his death.
