Police are investigating reports of illegal fox hunting in Leicestershire.

Officers said they received two reports of foxes being chased by hounds since Saturday.

One was in the area of Main Street in Peatling Magna at about 14:00 GMT on Saturday. The other was in the area of Rempstone Road in Belton at about the same time on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the force said the cases were not believed to be linked and appealed for witnesses.
