Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward

Police investigating a double stabbing in Leicestershire have issued a new appeal for information.

Two men in their 20s were seriously injured in Long Lane, Coalville, on Monday evening.

Both were taken to hospital and one is still being treated and is in a serious but stable condition, officers said.

Leicetershire Police said a 29-year-old man, from Ashby, had been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and released on bail.

Det Insp Rob Arthur said: "I believe there are people who will have witnessed the incident but not yet spoken to police. It's not too late to come forward and if you think you can help, please get in touch.

"I'm particularly keen to speak to any motorists who were in the area of Long Lane and Broom Leys Road and have a dashcam in their vehicle."
