A cyclist has died following a crash with a car in Leicester.

Police said the crash, which involved a grey Audi A4, happened shortly before 19:00 BST in Watermead Way on the slip road for Red Hill Circle towards Beaumont Leys.

The man in his 60s died at the scene while four people in the car were uninjured.

No arrests have been made. Police have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Det Con Louise Hough said: "Our investigation into the incident - which happened on a busy route - is continuing and I believe there will be a number of people who witnessed the collision.

"I'd like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the car or cyclist beforehand. I'm particularly keen to speak to any motorists with dashcams in their vehicles.

"Any footage or further details you're able to provide could help."
