British man, 74, arrested in Italian murder investigation

A 74-year-old man was arrested in Shepshed on Wednesday, police said
A British man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 66-year-old woman in Italy.
Leicestershire Police said the 74-year-old man was detained in Shepshed on Wednesday and remained in custody.
The force said the arrest was related to the death of Michele Faiers.
It added detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) were in contact with Italian police and the Foreign Office over the case.
The Guardian newspaper reported Ms Faiers - also British - was found with stab wounds at her home in the Abruzzo region of Italy on Wednesday morning.
