Oadby: Pedestrian in his 80s in hospital after being hit by car

A man in his 80s remains in hospital after he was injured in Wigston Road, Oadby
A man in his 80s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car.
Police said the pedestrian was struck on Monday in Wigston Road, Oadby, Leicestershire, close to the junction with London Road, just before 08:20 GMT.
East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene.
A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
She remains in police custody, says Leicestershire Police.
