What's the matter with ewe? Firefighters used specialist equipment to rescue the sheep
A farm animal was left a little sheepish after it was rescued from a Leicestershire canal by firefighters.
Crews saved the sheep after it became stranded in water and brambles off Leicester Lane, Great Bowden, near Market Harborough, on Wednesday.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service used specialist equipment to pull the sheep to dry land in a rescue that took more than three hours.
It was taken to a nearby farm and assessed by a vet, crews said.

The fire service was called to the scene by the RSPCA
