Leicester street closed after two men shot

A road has been closed following a double shooting in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said they were called to reports two men were shot as they walked along Evington Road at about 23:20 GMT on Wednesday.
Both men were taken to hospital and continue to receive treatment, the force said.
The road has been closed between the junctions with Kingston Road/Kedleston Road and Lyme Road/Linton Street while investigation work takes place.
Officers were seen searching a stretch of road within a cordon on Thursday and asked the public to avoid the area.
Det Insp Hazel Sandall said: "Our investigation to ascertain the full circumstance surrounding the incident is still in its early stages.
"Gun crime is a very serious offence and we currently have a team of detectives dedicated to the investigation."
One man, who did not want to be identified, told BBC Radio Leicester he was in the area between 23:00 and 00:00.
He said he heard gunshots and then saw two men with wounds.
"We heard, a really loud five bangs, really loud, it sounded like more than a firework," he said.
Another person, who has lived in the area for five years, said: "I walk up here sometimes really late at night and I feel safe on this road.
"I eat at all of these restaurants. I never thought anything like this would happen in a million years."
