Ashby-de-la-Zouch: Hit-and-run probe after missing man found dead

Police are investigating a suspected hit-and-run crash after a man was found dead next to a road.
Tommy Hunter, 27, was reported missing on Sunday at about 02:00 GMT after leaving a nightclub in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
A body believed to be his was found by Derbyshire Police in hedges off Burton Road near the town just after 08:30 on Monday.
Officers have appealed for witnesses and for dashcam footage.
Part of Burton Road was closed while investigation work took place but has since reopened.
Derbyshire Police said: "While formal identification is yet to take place, Thomas' family are aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
"Further inquiries are being made into the circumstances of Thomas' death and these are being led by Leicestershire Police."
Leicestershire Police said: "It's believed the deceased was walking along Burton Road towards Boundary, Derbyshire, some time between 02:30 and 03:30 on Sunday when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle, which failed to stop at the scene.
"Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been driving along Burton Road during the early hours of Sunday morning and may have witnessed the incident."
