Work to install a new soft-play area at a council leisure centre in Leicestershire has been completed.

The £300,000 upgrade at Enderby Leisure and Golf Centre, run by Everyone Active in partnership with Blaby District Council, was announced earlier this year.

The brightly-coloured facility has been installed next to badminton courts in the existing sports hall.

Work to create an extra 50 parking spaces at the centre is ongoing.

The new play area, which can accommodate up to 122 juniors and 56 babies, is due to have its official opening on 13-14 January following a soft launch.

James Naylor, Everyone Active contract manager, said: "It's a superb facility and a brilliant way to get young people active."
