Police are investigating an attack in Leicestershire after two men in their 20s were hurt.

Leicestershire Police said one man was found with a hand injury in Logix Road, off the A5 near Burbage, at about 21:00 GMT on Thursday.

He told officers he had been attacked by a group who left the scene.

Another man - who was known to the victim - was found a short distance away with an ear injury. Neither of their injuries were life-threatening.

Logix Road was closed and remained shut on Friday morning.

At 10:40 on Friday, police said a single lane had re-opened.

Officers say part of Sketchley Meadows remains shut as police inquiries continue.
