Braunstone Gate was closed after the woman was hit by a bus
A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in Leicester.
The pedestrian was struck in Braunstone Gate, in Leicester's West End, shortly after 16:00 GMT on Thursday.
The road was closed alongside Western Road, Hinckley Road and Narborough Road while emergency services attended.
Leicestershire Police said no arrests had been made, and a force spokesperson added inquiries into the circumstances were continuing.
