Leicester: Woman in hospital after mobility scooter hit by car

A woman who was riding a mobility scooter when it was hit by a car has been taken to hospital.

The woman was injured in Saffron Lane, Leicester, at 09:45 GMT on Saturday, police said.

Leicestershire Police added the woman remained in hospital in a stable condition, while the driver of the car was not injured.

No arrests have been made and Saffron Lane - which had been shut - has since reopened.
