Officers were called to Conduit Street after Sidney Palmer was stabbed

Two men have denied murder after another man died from a stab wound to the chest.

Sidney Palmer, 59, was attacked in Conduit Street, Leicester, on 30 September.

Victor-Eduard Raja, of Columbine Road, Leicester, and Nathan Pritchard, 29, of Conduit Street, Leicester, entered not guilty pleas to murder, manslaughter and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent at court on Friday.

They are due to stand trial on 13 May.

Mr Raja, 25, also denied possession of a knife in a public place.

Diana Bodrug, 48, of Melton Road, Syston, Leicestershire, denied assisting an offender.

Michael Berlin, 32, of Fieldfare Walk, and Leon Newton, 34, of no fixed abode, are charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent but did not enter pleas.
