Earl Shilton: Building society's door smashed in raid
- Published

Damage was caused to the door but the nearby cash machine does not appear to be affected
Thieves have damaged a building society during a night raid in Leicestershire.
Police were called to the Nationwide branch in The Hollow, Earl Shilton, shortly after 21:00 GMT on Sunday.
A door had been smashed in but officers said the suspects had already left the scene in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Staffordshire.
Nothing appears to have been taken from the branch and while no arrests have been made, inquiries continue, police said.
Anyone with information about the raid has been asked to get in touch with police.

Officers have appealed for information about the raid
