Leicester: Murder charge over death of man attacked in 2014

A man has been charged over the death of another man, who died seven years after being attacked in Leicester city centre.

Leicestershire Police said Jamie Burrows, 36, was assaulted in Belgrave Gate in January 2014, and died on 12 November 2021.

On Sunday, Nathan Forbes, of London Road, Oadby, Leicestershire, was charged with murder.

The 37-year-old is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Tuesday.

Police said Mr Forbes appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court earlier and was remanded in custody.
