Leicester: Arrest as five women 'touched inappropriately'

Police want to speak to two men who intervened in one of the incidents

A man has been arrested by police investigating a series of reports in which women were touched inappropriately in Leicester.

Five women, in their 20s, reported being touched by a man in the University Road and Victoria Park areas, between 12:00 and 12:30 GMT on Monday.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, Leicestershire Police confirmed.

He was later released on bail.

The force is appealing for witnesses, in particular two men officers know intervened in one of the incidents.
