Officers investigating a suspected arson attack at a community playground in Leicester have released a CCTV image of a person they want to identify.

Goldhill Adventure Playground in Windley Road was forced to temporarily close in January after the fire caused extensive damage to the building.

Leicestershire Police said it found a container believed to have carried a liquid used to start the blaze.

The force shared the CCTV image as part of its investigation on Tuesday.

It was reported that the locked playground had been broken into and someone set fire to part of the building on the site at around 23:55 GMT on 27 January, police said.

Manager Dee Dixon previously said the playground, founded in the 1970s, was at the heart of the surrounding Saffron Lane community.
