Barwell: Investigation under way after house fire

Multiple crews have dealt with a house fire in a Leicestershire village.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted to the blaze in Newlands Road, Barwell, at 12:30 GMT on Monday.

Four crews went to the fire, which had spread to the building from "controlled burning" outside.

The fire service said the blaze had been extinguished by about 13:30, with all people at the house accounted for and an investigation under way.
