The number of buses to and from East Midlands Airport (EMA) has increased.

Changes to the Skylink Derby timetable means services now run up to every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday.

The Trentbarton bus route, operated by Kinchbus, connects Derby, Leicester and Loughborough with the airport and nearby employment sites.

The extra buses have been launched in response to increasing passenger numbers to improve the punctuality of services.

The new timetable came into force on 31 March.

The bus company also introduced timetable changes to the evening Skylink Express service between EMA and Nottingham.

Changes have also been made to the timetable for the my15 route, including a reduction in the number of journeys that go via Castle Donington Bus Station during peak times.

Mike Grimes, customer and planning director at EMA, said: "We're all about making people's airport experience easy and effortless, and having more buses providing increasingly reliable services gives people coming to the airport a great choice.

"For many people, it's less fuss by bus."
